More than 200 firefighters and medics responded to the Fuse 47 apartment building, at 4700 Berwyn House Road, which had been under construction.

Classes resumed at the University of Maryland Tuesday, after a five-alarm fire broke out at a College Park apartment complex the day before.

Police say they arrested 24-year-old Trevon Miller, after his drone nearly collided with a police helicopter. The pilot performed evasive maneuvers and was able to prevent a collision, police said.

Authorities said they identified Miller as the suspect.

Police found and arrested Miller, charging him with interfering with police and fire response, along with reckless endangerment.

Prince George's County Police said they encourage all drone hobbyists to be sure they are in compliance with all FAA laws when operating drones. Initial reports were that flames were seen coming from the roof of the building and from the fifth and sixth floors.

The University of Maryland closed its campus at 1 p.m. because of the poor air quality.
