Boston College will host a regional Div. 1 men's and women's cross country event on November 13, 2020. The city and the Garden won't have to wait as long this time, as the NCAA announced on Tuesday that Boston will host the 2022 Frozen Four.
The 2018 regionals are slated for March 23-25 and then March 29-31 in 2019.

He noted that local fans have been very supportive of hockey in the Lehigh Valley and he has no reason to believe that while different, these games will also draw in big crowds. "The PPL Center will provide a fun tournament atmosphere for the NCAA Men's Hockey regionals in Allentown".
This is additional incentive for the Penn State hockey team to earn a return trip to the NCAA tournament. The city bid for the hosting rights earlier this year.
The event will be held at the PPL Center, which was opened in 2014.
ECAC Hockey Commissioner Steve Hagwell stated, "We are thrilled that Quinnipiac has once again been selected to host the NCAA Women's Frozen Four". Penn State last hosted a national collegiate women's gymnastics regional in 2014.
That might not technically be all that Penn State hosts either. Penn State last hosted the event in 2009.
