Gas in Massachusetts up another 4 cents per gallon

West Texas Intermediate crude oil prices have risen 12% from $47.34 per barrel on March 21 to $53.14 per barrel in early trading this morning, fueling much of the rise in gasoline prices.

Wichita- $2.20/g, down 3.4 cents per gallon from last week's $2.24/g.

Honolulu- $2.90/g, flat from last week's $2.90/g.

Hawaii, HI, April 17- Average retail gasoline prices in Hawaii have risen 1.8 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.06/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 355 gas outlets in Hawaii. Local gas prices have risen 14.3 cents per gallon in the past month and are up 22 cents a gallon, or more than 10 percent, from the same time a year ago.

Fuel price monitoring service GasBuddy said in its Monday news release that prices dropped 1.3 cents per gallon.

In 43 states and Washington D.C. gas prices increased over the last week.

Hagerstown - $2.35/gallon, up 2.8 cents per gallon from last week's $2.33/gallon.

The five states with the lowest prices are SC ($2.124 a gallon), Oklahoma ($2.156), MS ($2.169), Arkansas ($2.173) and Tennessee ($2.173). The highest average was about $2.53 in the Jackson area.

For folks who are anxiously waiting for gas go under $2.00 a gallon, only 405 gas stations in the entire USA are selling gasoline at $2 per gallon or less. It was much cheaper a year ago, averaging $2.11. Gas stations in the Dickinson, Bismarck and Minot metro areas hovered around $2.39 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.
